Celebrating Milestones in Our Home Construction Journey!

93 Chicago Avenue Multi-Unit Framing Almost Complete

We are so thankful for Brownwood Roofing as they have been an invaluable partner in the construction of 93 Chicago Ave. Over the past month, they have assisted us with the roof sheathing and paper, and have committed to installing the shingles. We are grateful for their expertise and professionalism throughout the process.

Additionally, our trainees have had the opportunity to learn and have gain valuable skills in setting windows and properly flashing and waterproofing them. This hands-on experience is critical for our trainees not only as they prepare for careers in the construction industry, but also for future work on their own residences. Thank you, Brownwood Roofing, for being an essential part of our project and helping to build a better future for our trainees and the community.

Brownwood Roofing Lunch and Learn

We had the pleasure of visiting Brownwood Roofing as part of our Thursday Lunch & Learn series. Our trainees visited their Columbus location and learned about Brownwood Roofing's operations. Ed Brownwood, the founder, spoke about his experiences starting the company and some of the obstacles that he has overcome as the company expanded. Trainees learned that being an entrepreneur is quite difficult, requiring great commitment, endurance, and a willingness do what is necessary to keep the business moving forward. This outing aligned with our ongoing commitment to provide trainees with exposure to new experiences and different environments as part of their continuing education.
